Classes focus on the four sections of the IELTS test
IELTS Writing test evaluates your ability to communicate ideas clearly, logically, and accurately in written English.
Task 1 – Academic: Describe visual information such as graphs, charts, tables, maps, or processes.
General Training: Write a letter based on a given situation.
Task 2: Write an essay responding to a point of view, argument, or problem.
Duration: 60 minutes — approximately 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
Assessment: Task achievement/response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, and grammatical range and accuracy.
IELTS Listening test consists of 4 sections and 40 questions, designed to assess your ability to understand spoken English in different everyday and academic situations.
Section 1: Everyday conversation between two speakers.
Section 2: A monologue in an everyday social context.
Section 3: Conversation between two or more speakers, usually in an educational or training context.
Section 4: An academic monologue, such as a university lecture or presentation.
Duration: Approximately 30 minutes, plus 10 minutes to transfer answers to the answer sheet in the paper-based test.
Total: 40 questions | 4 sections | 1 mark per question.
IELTS Reading test assesses your ability to understand, analyse, and interpret written English across a range of texts.
3 Sections: Each section contains a reading passage with a set of questions.
40 Questions: 1 mark is awarded for each correct answer.
Academic Reading: Three longer texts taken from books, journals, magazines, and other academic sources.
General Training Reading: Three sections based on everyday, workplace, and general-interest texts.
Duration: 60 minutes, including time to transfer answers.
Key skills assessed: Reading for main ideas, specific information, opinions, logical arguments, and understanding vocabulary in context.
IELTS Speaking test is a face-to-face interview with a certified examiner designed to assess your spoken English, fluency, and communication skills.
Part 1 – Introduction & Interview: Questions about familiar topics such as your home, family, studies, work, and interests.
Part 2 – Individual Long Turn: Speak for 1–2 minutes on a given topic after 1 minute of preparation.
Part 3 – Discussion: A deeper discussion related to the Part 2 topic, requiring you to explain and develop your ideas.
Duration: Approximately 11–14 minutes.
Assessment: Fluency & coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range & accuracy, and pronunciation.
Scored on a 0 to 9 band scale for each section, averaged into an overall band score.
Incorrect answers do not deduct points, so you should guess or attempt all
questions.
